MCIS is governed by a BOARD OF DIRECTORS elected from our membership. 

 

The Board meets approximately five times per year and has an Annual General Meeting (AGM) report to the membership and the community.

OUTGOING

 

LISA DA ROCHA, VICE CHAIR

Lisa is Vice President, Lead Generation Services for Brookfield Residential Property Services and co-founder of Office Coffee Solutions.  She has an Honor’s Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto and a Masters in Business Administration from Schulich School of Business. Lisa brought to MCIS’ Board years of experience in leadership roles in general management, marketing communications and business development and as a first generation Canadian, a strong appreciation for the value of interpretation services to immigrant communities.

 

On behalf of our members we would like to say thank you to our committed, outgoing Board Member - thank you, Lisa! It has been a great pleasure working with you and look forward to your continued support! 

 

 

 

COMMITTEES

 

The Board has several Committees providing advice and leadership so the Board has a strategic plan in place and is working toward it while maintaining the vision of the organization. The Committees are chaired by a member of the Board but include other volunteers.

 

• Nomination & Governance committee – provides advice and leadership to help the Board be successful in its job of governing, including recruiting and nominating new Board members;

• Finance committee – provides advice and oversight on financial matters to ensure the MCIS has secure funding;

• Human Resources committee – providing advice and leadership to build and comply with HR Policies and procedures

• Marketing and Operation Committee – overseeing marketing, advertising, relationship building & IT issues; and

• Executive Committee – Officers of the Board.

INCOMING 

 

ANDREY ANDIN

Andrey is a finance and strategy professional with over 8 years of consulting, corporate development, and finance experience in Retail, Consulting, Financial Services, and Energy & Resources industries. Areas of expertise include performance improvement, strategy development and analysis, and financial management. Andrey has an MBA from the Rotman School of Management and CMA (IMA, USA) and CFA designations.  

 

As a Canadian immigrant, Andrey believes in MCIS's vision to remove language barriers and is looking forward to contribute to the company's achievements."
